Renovation of a water / sewer project in Hamilton, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The City of Hamilton requires the services of a General Contractor with the expertise and experience to rehabilitate the north and south return activated sludge (RAS) galleries through equipment replacement, concrete rehabilitation, and general clean-up at the Woodward Avenue Water Treatment Plant RAS galleries. The scope of work includes rehabilitation in the RAS galleries and equipment installation in the secondary clarifier area: 1. Replacement of equipment lifting points, pipe hangers, and gaskets for external hatch plates. 2. Replacement of RAS pipes flanges, installation of drain line coupling and replacement of manual drain valves. 3. Replacement of RAS flowmeters. 4. Replacement of actuator, gearbox, and valve on pipe #5. 5. Replacement of secondary clarifier tank #3 sluice gate. 6. Removal of abandoned sampling pipes and sump pumps. 7. Re-sloping of RAS gallery floors and coating walls. 8. External walkway gratings. The value of this Project is estimated to be between $1,100,000.00 and $1,500,000.00.
