To be given consideration, such email(s) must be received at least five business days prior to the date fixed for the opening of Bids. The Town of Colonie ("Town") invites bids for the following: RFP 2024 Crossings' Meeting House and Barn Roof Replacements JB221 All bidders shall comply with the N.Y. Gen. Mun. Law 103. Each submitted proposal must be accompanied by (a) a certified check in the sum of 5% of the amount of the bid, drawn upon a national or state bank or trust company, to the order of the Town of Colonie, New York, or (b) a bond with sufficient sureties in a penal sum equal to 5% of the bid, conditioned that if its bid is accepted, successful bidder will enter into a contract for the same and that he will execute such further security as may be required for the performance of the contract. At the execution of the anticipated contract, the Successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance and labor and materials bond, and a payment bond equal to the full amount of the bid. The bidder to whom the contract may be awarded shall within seven days after the date of notification of the acceptance of its proposal, provide insurance and security as required by the contract in a form acceptable by the Town of Colonie. In case of its failure to do so, or in case of its failure to give further security as herein prescribed, the bidder will be considered as having abandoned the same, and the certified check or other bid security accompanying its proposal shall be forfeited to the Town of Colonie. The Town of Colonie reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids submitted.
