Renovation of an educational facility in Belleville, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
A Bid Security executed by a U.S. Treasury listed Surety Company acceptable to the Owner or a cashier's check in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the sum of the Proposal payable to Van Buren Public Schools must be accompany the Proposal. All proposals shall be firm for a period of ninety (90) days. Oral, telephone, or fax bids are invalid and will not receive consideration. Accepted bidders may be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. All bids must be accompanied by a statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the board, board of directors, or the superintendent of the School District. All bids must be accompanied by a statement to comply with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act of 2012. All bids must be accompanied by a Criminal Background Disclosure Affidavit. All bids must be accompanied by a Non-Collusive Affidavit. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part; to award contract to other than the low bidder; to waive any irregularities and/or informalities; and in general to make awards in any manner deemed to be in the best interests of the Owner.
