City Lot Mowing for Parks & Recreation. Services will be performed based on lot mowing units as there are various lots within the City limits, which vary in size ranging from approximately 3,500 square feet to up to five (5) acres. The definition of a mowing unit is vacant, undeveloped property of up to 8,000 square feet in area, which is equivalent to a standard single lot (80' x 100'). The number of units charged for lots greater than 8,000 square feet and multiples thereof will be calculated by rounding down if the additional square footage is equal to or less than 3,999 square feet and rounding up if the additional square footage is equal to or greater than 4,000 square feet. Therefore, larger parcels shall be compensated by the number of units assigned to the parcel. The Contractor shall have the appropriate and sufficient equipment and staff to perform lot mowing and weed/grass trimming services, as stated within the context of this bid, prior to submitting a response. Contractor shall remove all equipment from the service area on a daily basis. Overnight parking of vehicles, trailers and equipment is prohibited. Award will be made to the lowest response for each line in the base bid. There may/may not be multiple awards depending on the results received. The initial purchase order will be issued for a term that ends with the effective dates fiscal year (September 30th). Any subsequent purchase orders will go from October through September until the term is complete.
