Renovation of a medical facility in Victoria, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is intended to invite interested parties to submit Responses demonstrating their experience and qualification for the delivery of the nurse call system replacement project (the Project) at the Victoria General Hospital (VGH) located at 1 Hospital Way, Victoria BC. At the end of this RFQ process, Island Health intends to shortlist up to three qualified Respondents and invite them to participate in the Request for Proposals (RFP) stage of the procurement process for the Project. At the end of the RFP phase, the successful Proponent is expected to enter into a Contract with Island Health to deliver this Project. Island Health needs to replace the aging nurse call systems at Victoria General Hospital (VGH). Currently, there are five different nurse call systems installed across various facilities on campus, dating back to 1981. Approximately 70% of these systems are now obsolete, with spare parts no longer available from suppliers. For the remaining 30%, which utilizes the Telligence HC system, parts are still available, but with limited supply, making future parts acquisition increasingly difficult.
