Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Burlington, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
A. It is anticipated work will begin in the spring of 2025. The contractor shall share with the County their anticipated start date and coordinate with the County the work that needs to be done either prior to the Contractor mobilizing. It is anticipated that the County will complete the installation of the erosion control measures, topsoil stripping and stockpiling, sawcutting and removal of the existing pavement, grading and stoning for the overflow parking lot, dumpster pad, trails, pavilion plaza, pavilion pad, and the minor grading around the pavilion, prior to the contractor mobilizing. Once there, the contractor would need to complete the remainder of the project. B. Contractor shall perform work continuously until the project is substantially completed. C. Substantial completion will be defined as completion of all project work. White River Park Pavilion & Overflow Parking Improvements This project is being supported in whole or part, by federal award number FAIN #SLFRP 2146 ('IGA') awarded to Walworth County by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Questions Due Date: Oct 25th 2024, 3:00 PM CDT In general, the work includes installing a new pavilion at the park, installing a concrete pad for the pavilion to be placed, a concrete pad for a re-located dumpster and associated fencing, paving a 10-ft wide trail that connects the parking lot to the pavilion, installing a new cattle type fence for the overflow parking area. There will need to be some fine grading of the areas that are proposed to be paved with both asphalt and concrete restoration of all the disturbed areas. An alternate is requested for providing flagstone type stone stairs to improve access from the existing path near the proposed pavilion and existing bathroom facilities, to the river, and some pavement markings for the amended parking areas proposed. The contractor will need to coordinate with the County, as a portion of the work being completed with this overall project will be completed by County staff and is outlined in the plans.
