The Project consists of: The project is generally considered a sewer inspection project. Contractor will be responsible for cleaning sanitary sewer segments and then televising them, as described herein. PRE-BID CONFERENCE: A pre-bid conference will not be held. WAGE RATES: Contractor shall be required to comply with the most recently publicized "Wage of Employees on Public Works (Prevailing Wage) Act" (820 ILCS 130/1 et. Seq. (1993)). Not less than the prevailing wage rates on Public Work as established by the Illinois Department of Labor, for the county in which the work takes place, shall be paid. BID SECURITY: Bid Security in the amount of not less than 5% of the Bid shall accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. CONTRACT SECURITY: The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in an amount equal to the Contract Price. BID REJECTION/ACCEPTANCE: The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, waive informalities in bidding, or to accept the Bid or Bids, which best serves the interests of the Owner. BID WITHDRAWAL: No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after the scheduled opening of the bids without the consent of Owner.
