Renovation of a water / sewer project in Santa Barbara, California. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
This project is no longer moving forward. The City is seeking proposals from qualified developers to design and construct a Photovoltaic System (PV) and a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facility ("facility") at El Cielito Pumping Station (2410 Stanwood Dr, Santa Barbara, CA, 93103). The developer will design, permit, procure, install, and commission the facility, and will own, operate, and maintain the facility under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the City. The PV system proposed by the developer must be designed and sized to deliver the maximum PV production for the space available and the operational constraints of the facility, while the BESS shall be sized according to the SGIP specifications noted below. The City has secured $1.197 million in Self Generation Incentive Program (SGIP) funds for a BESS with a 326 kW nominal (272 kW derated) / 1305 kWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at this site.
