Renovation of a power facility in Madison, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
In general, the work consists of: installation of new traffic-bearing coating systems on existing concrete slabs of different eras of construction as defined on the structural drawings, primarily comprising elevated concrete slabs above an existing reinforced-concrete coal bunker structure. Cracks in the slabs will be routed and sealed prior to the installation of the new coating systems. Repair of spalling at reinforced concrete beams and columns within the coal bunker structure will also be required, at locations as noted on the drawings. The project also includes the removal of (2) steam expansion joints inside the existing coal bunker. A formal pre-bid tour will not be conducted for this project; however, a site visit is encouraged.
