The City of Wilson (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: LAKE WILSON WALKING TRAIL The Project includes the following Work: 5,000 LF Asphalt Pavement (2 X10 ) Multipurpose Trail. 6,900 SY (6 X14 ) Crushed Concrete (CABC) Base for Multipurpose Trail. 2,500 CY Unclassified Excavation. 4,500 LF Silt Fence. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Questions received prior to the submission deadline date, the Green Engineering and any additional terms deemed necessary by the City of Wilson will be posted in the form of an addendum to the City of Wilson website and shall become an Addendum to this Bid. No information, instruction or advice provided orally or informally by any City personnel or through Green Engineering, whether made in response to a question or otherwise concerning this Bid, shall be considered authoritative or binding. Vendors shall rely only on written material contained in an Addendum to this Bid. Inquiries submitted no later than the date and time noted in the project schedule. Questions answered verbally will be followed up by written addenda as deemed necessary; oral interpretations shall have no effect. Instructions to Bidders. The Owner has developed a goal of ten percent (10%) for participation of minority-owned and women-owned business enterprises in construction contracts awarded pursuant to NCGS 143-128. Bidders must comply with the Owner s requirements for W/MBE documentation. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all BIDS and to award both Parts, either Part or neither Part of this project. BIDDERS shall be properly licensed under Chapter 87, General Statutes of North Carolina. Small, minority and women s businesses and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit BIDS.
