Question Deadline 10/22/2024-All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Bidders assume responsibility that their Bid is received prior to the designated bid opening time and date. The Work to be performed for the project includes supply- ing all labor, equipment, and materials for the installation of approximately 2,100 LF of 6" diameter ductile iron water main along Laurelee Ave. in Muhlenberg Township to in- clude valves, tees, hydrants, connection of approximately 45 existing water service lines, and paving to replace an existing water main. Each Proposal for the Project shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form pro- vided by the Contract Docu- ments, drawn to the order of the Muhlenberg Township Au- thority, and in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the extended Bid Amount, as a guarantee that if the Pro- posal is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and the performance thereby prop- erly secured. Attention is called to the fact that prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Depart- ment of Labor and Industry must be paid by the Contrac- tors on this project and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be dis- criminated against because of their race, age, color, re- ligion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Each Bidder is required to meet the require- ments of Public Works Em- ployment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012. The Muhlenberg Township Authority, Owner, hereby re- serves the right, which is un- derstood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, to waive any informality in bids received, and to accept the Bid, which is in the best inter- est of the Authority, consis- tent with the laws affecting municipal contract awards.
