Renovation of a municipal facility in Vernon, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Fire Suppression Bid Vernon Township is seeking improvements to its fire suppression capabilities at the Police Department 21 Church Street, Vernon, N.J., from a responsible contractor in accord with the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law. Server Room & Property Room a. Demo the existing FM-200 system b. Design, supply, install (turnkey) test and certify (1) NOVEC 1230 Clean Agent fire suppression system OR EQUIVALENT. c. 8'-0" ceiling height for both rooms. d. System design is in accordance with NFPA 2001, NFPA 72 and the manufacturer 3.0 Police Dispatch Room: a. Demo the existing HALON system. b. Design, supply, install (turnkey) test and certify (1) NOVEC 1230 Clean Agent fire suppression system OR EQUIVALENT. c. Existing and installed to be a "single-zone" system. d. Room measuring roughly 20' -0" x 1'-0", with an 8'-0" ceiling height. e. System design is in accordance with NFPA 2001, NFPA 72 and the manufacturer recommendations. f. The clean agent shall be NOVEC 1230, OR EQUIVALENT at a 4.5% design concentration, per NFPA 2001. Background Checks 4.1 The location of the work is of a sensitive nature. 4.2 Workers assigned to the location will be subject to a local background check. 4.3 The winning respondent will coordinate with an officer to directly escort and monitor during on site. 5.0 Other construction considerations a. One room integrity pressurization test per protected area is included b. Turnkey installation to be performed utilizing Class "B" wiring. EMT conduit c. Pricing to include lift rental and is based on ladder work, at a height not to exceed 14'-0". d. Demo scope includes removing devices, wiring and piping. e. Any and all conduit to be removed must be both, visible and accessible. f. Testing and commissioning to be performed during normal business hours (M-F 7-3:30) g. Sealed drawings are included h. All onsite work is to be coordinated through the police department. i. Electrical i. 120 VAC power requirements for (2) control panels to be supplied by the Township electrical vendor. ii. Interface circuitry for auxiliary functions (HVAC shutdown, Fire Alarm tie in, damper closures, etc.) to be by Township.
