Stan Fearday, Engineer, sfearday@upchurchgroup.com The project consists of installation of new PCC sidewalk around the existing asphalt track. New high jump and pole vault facilities will be installed with the placement of aggregate base course with 3" of asphalt surfacing. Drainage tile and yard drains will be installed along the outside perimeter of the track. New fencing with gates will be installed around the outside perimeter of the track. New long / triple jump pits will be installed at each end of the existing long jump runway on the west side of the track. Other work includes earthwork, topsoil placement, seeding, and other appurtenances as shown in the contract documents. Prevailing wages in accordance with Cumberland County is required. Bid security is required, in the form of a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid as guarantee that the bid will not be withdrawn within 30 days after the date of opening of bids, and that the successful bidder will enter into a Contract for the work awarded to them. Bid security shall be made payable to Neoga CUSD #3. Bonds are required: Both a Performance Bond and a Labor and Payment Bond are required for this project, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Your Bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or any part thereof, to waive any informality in bidding, and to accept bids deemed most favorable to the owner. Award of a contract is anticipated to occur at the November 2024 meeting of the Board of Education. The Work shall be Substantially Complete on or before March 1, 2025, with final completion on or before March 30, 2025.
