City of Hattiesburg is seeking Qualified Professional Environmental Testing Firms to provide lead-based paint testing, soil sampling, risk assessments and clearance dust sampling at residential structures that may be owner or tenant occupied within the city limits of Hattiesburg. Each PROPOSAL must be received in a sealed envelope which is marked in the lower left-hand corner with the words Request for Qualifications Qualified Eligible Lead Testing Firms The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a list of Qualified Eligible Lead Testing Firms for participation in the Citys LeadSAFE Hattiesburg program. Respondents meeting the established criteria will be placed on a list of QECs in accordance with the Citys LeadSAFE Hattiesburg Manual. Lead-based paint testing services will be based upon the prepared scope of services developed by an EPA certified Risk Assessor/Inspector. The applicants selected will be part of a pool of Contractors to provide such services for the homes selected for the testing, soil sampling, risk assessment and clearance dust sampling at residential structures. Notwithstanding, the Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids received and to waive formalities.
