Friday October 25th, 2024- Last date to submit questions to the District The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the scope of work. All products used by the Contractor shall comply with all laws and regulations, codes and industry standards for the products' intended uses and shall be used in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. The Contractor will be responsible for the protection of all items and surfaces not scheduled to be worked on, and these area must be kept clean throughout the project. These areas include, but are not limited to window, walkways, doors, benches, vehicles, and plant, and tree material. The Contractor shall be responsible for repairing, at the Contractor's expense, any damage that result from the work. All work performed, method and equipment used shall be in conformance with the prevailing State and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act. Cost from delays and losses due to operations not in conformance to these acts, specifications, or stoppages by OSHA inspectors or the designated representative because of non-conformance shall be solely borne by the Contractor. from qualified contractors for Asphalt Replacement at the District's Fire Station 87 located at 4706 E. Drummond Ave, Fresno Ca, 93725 (the "Project"). Compliance With the Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act: Owner shall accept bids only from qualified bidders that are currently registered with the District as pre-qualified contractors under the Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (Pub. Contract Code 22000 et seq.,) with asphalt paving replacement expertise consistent with Public Contract Code Section 22034(a). The District has a standard contract ("Contract Documents"), which shall be used for this Project, and which the successful bidder shall be required to execute. Bidders are responsible for performing their own assessments of the conditions of the Project site. Bidders may obtain the Contract Documents and additional information by contacting visiting the District website (www.fresnocountyfire.org). Required Contractor Registration: Owner shall accept bids only from bidders that are currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5. Prevailing Wage Laws: The successful bidder must comply with all prevailing wage laws applicable to the Project, and related requirements contained in the Contract Documents. This Project is subject to prevailing wage compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Reservation of Rights: Owner specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects in bidding not involving time, price or quality of the work. Owner may reject any and all bids and waive any minor irregularities in the bids. Bid Preparation Cost: Bidders are solely responsible for the cost of preparing their bids. Instructions to Bidders: Bids must include: 1) a total, lump-sum bid price for all work required to complete the Project; 2) proof of the bidder's registration with the Department of Industrial Relations; 3) contractor's license number(s); 4) a description of work experience; 5) a proposed Project schedule; and 6) proof of insurance required by the Contract Documents. Lowest Bid: The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder based on the specifications noted in the bid.
