A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD or the District) "Floating Wetlands Island" Project consists of the following major work for the contractor a. Supply and Installation of floating wetlands islands (Island I and III) including construction and placing of concrete mooring with all associated accessories per plan and specifications. b. Construction of canoe house including (but not limited to) all earthwork, concrete foundations, superstructure etc., per plan and specifications c. Installation of HCFCD supplied sampling house shelter (but not limited to) all earthwork, concrete foundations, supply, and installation of superstructure, installation of HCFCD supplied water quality and flow monitoring equipment (including flow sensors and sample collection strainers) connection to existing storm sewer (including new manhole), etc., per plan and specifications. d. Installation of HCFCD supplied solar panel and ancillaries. e. Placing and securing buried and surface mounted PVC and flexible conduits that will house sensor cables and sample collection conduits connecting shelter equipment to flow measuring and sample intake points respectively. B. The overall objective of the project is the construction of floating wetlands islands and associated ancillary buildings, water quality monitoring equipment's at the basin. C. The "Time of Completion" of this construction contract will be 157 working days (defined as consecutive calendar days). (For projects with federal or grant funding only) D.
