Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Georgetown, Kentucky. Design plans call for the construction of a 63,507-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
A new 600-student elementary school is scheduled for Scott County in 2026. Cost is projected around $38 million. Currently unnamed, the elementary school is planned for construction between Pleasant Valley and Lanes Run Business Park on U.S. 62. This will be the 10th elementary school to be built in the county. Currently Eastern Elementary is over capacity and the superintendent hopes this addition will help maintain the current growth pattern. The new school is being built on a 25-acre parcel of land owned by the school system. The new school will be similar in design to Creekside Elementary. Consideration to build a new elementary school were already included in previous approved plans. The main entrance of the elementary school will be off of U.S. 62 with another connecting to a subdivision and other interconnected roadways creating a way to reach U.S. 460 without using main roadways. As of October 15, 2024, an architect has been selected and tasked with trying to get the project bid so that the students can occupy the building in 2026. Per owner, there is currently limited information available but the project is in the beginning design phase.
