Estimate: $250,000 The NUECES RIVER AUTHORITY will receive sealed Bids or the On-line Cleaning of Wastewater Lagoons The Nueces River Authority (NRA) has contracted with the City of Bishop, Texas to operate a wastewater treatment plant. The General Land Office of the State of Texas has provided funding for a project to remove sludge from 2 holding lagoons as part of a larger project to assure the plant is operable for the next 48 months. The contractor selected to assist NRA with this project will receive work orders from the NRA Contract Administrator to (a) remove sludge and sediment from two (2) lagoons approximately 90 feet long, 90 feet wide, and 10 feet deep, (b) dewater the sludge and (c) dispose of sludge in a manner approved by the TCEQ. The wastewater treatment plant is located approximately 1.25 miles south of the intersection of the US Highway 77 and 6th Street in Bishop, Texas. The expected outcome of the project is improved water quality being discharged from the plant due to the extra treatment capacity realized from the removed sludge. The project is to improve water quality in the Coastal Bend through load reduction of both bacteria and nutrients. The Nueces River Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids received and to waive any and all formalities in regard thereto. Bids will remain subject to acceptance for 30 calendar days following the Bid opening.
