The Board of Education of Calvert County, Prince Frederick, MD, is soliciting proposals from pre- qualified Contractors to provide bids for the AHU Replacement and Heating Water Plant Addition at Mary Harrison Center, 2950 Chaneyville Road, Owings, Maryland 20736. Completed qualification questionnaires are due no later than 4:00 pm on Friday, 1 November 2024 and shall be submitted electronically or hardcopy mailed to Mr. Wayne Gleason, Supervisor for Planning and Construction, Calvert County Public Schools, 1305 Dares Beach Road, Prince Frederick, MD 20678, gleasonw@calvertnet.k12.md.us. Any pre-bid or Bid Document question shall be submitted via electronic mail to constructionbid@calvertnet.k12.md.us, with the subject line "#04.005.25 SR - AHU Replacement and Heating Water Plant Addition at Mary Harrison Center". All questions must be submitted no later 4:00 pm on Friday, 8 November 2024. Certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) are encouraged to respond to this solicitation notice. The contractor or supplier who provides materials, supplies, equipment and/or services for this construction project shall attempt to achieve the specific overall MBE goal of five percent (5%) established for this project. All prime contractors, including certified MBE firms, when submitting bids or proposals as general or prime contractors, are required to attempt to achieve this goal from certified MBE firms. There are no subgoals established for this project. However, the Contractor is encouraged to use a diverse group of subcontractors and suppliers from any and all of the various MBE classifications to meet the overall MBE participation goal.
