2023 CIP Water Pipeline and Highline Replacement Project. In addition, no contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department ofIndustrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department ofIndustrial Relations. Bid Bond 10.00% Payment Bond 100.00% Performance Bond 100.00% Liquidated Damages $500 per calendar day Estimated Bid Value $8,000,000.00 Start/Delivery Date January 2025 Project Duration 180 Working days Scope of Services The scope of work for this project is the installation and/or replacement of approximately 35,000 linear feet of ductile iron water pipeline ranging from 8 inches to 24 inches, including water services, valves, fire hydrants, etc. The work shall consist of furnishing and installing all pipe, fittings, and appurtenances; all traffic control; all utility location and verification; all pavement removal and disposal; all pavement repair; all earthwork; compacting; protecting in place or removing and replacing all existing utilities, trees, and public and private improvements; testing and disinfecting all pipelines; replacing destroyed survey monuments; disposing of excess soil and rock material and restoring all areas and improvements to pre-construction conditions. Pursuant to CA Labor Code Section 1770 et seq., the successful bidder shall pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations. Copies of such prevailing rate of per diem wages are available at online. Pursuant to provisions of Section 22300 ofthe California Public Contract Code, the Contractor may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the City to ensure performance ofthe work.
