The Project consists of the construction of an earthen/sand/rock river side berm and structural improvements to a haul road within the SID. Work includes excavation/removal and disposal of accumulated debris; earthwork, sheet pile placement and placement of rock riprap provided from an adjacent project excavating rock from the Platte River. Coordination between the two projects is required. Also included are construction of temporary site access, tree removal, traffic control and site restoration. The certified or cashier's check may be cashed by the Owner, or the bid bond. forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a Contract and file an acceptable bond satisfactory to the Owner assuring the faithful fulfillment of the Contract and maintenance of said improvements, as required by law, within ten days after the acceptance of the Contractor's bid.
