The procurement is anticipated to involve negotiation. An electronic auction is not anticipated. The University is seeking experienced and qualified Plumbing & Mechanical contractors with proven ability to perform plumbing and mechanical Services for a wide variety of small to large-scale projects and maintenance/repairs at various buildings under the University of Toronto portfolio on an “as and when” required basis. The Goods and Services include the supply and delivery of material, necessary equipment and the provision of skilled labour and perform the Services of the following, including but not limited to: Hot and cold-water distribution systems Waste drains and vents Gas piping Plumbing systems and fixtures Kitchen equipment installation and repairs Sanitary sewer and stormwater piping within the building and below-grade Water supply within the building and below-grade Pool Chlorine Systems Pool Acid Systems Pumps for Pool Chemical Systems Perform annual backflow testing of backflow preventers as per City bylaws HVAC equipment, systems and controls Fire protection systems Maintenance and repair services of the above equipment and systems All projects will be located in Ontario, Canada. Contractors are expected to comply with all local, provincial, and federal regulations applicable to the work. Scope of Work The successful Plumbing & Mechanical contractors may be required to perform the following services: Supply/replace/reconfigure piping for chilled water, heating water and steam including all accessories such as isolation valves, control valves, steam traps or strainers. Supply & installation of HVAC, steam, plumbing, sanitary, stormwater, sprinkler piping systems, domestic hot water systems and compressed air systems. Supply and installation of sheet metal ductwork, VAV terminal boxes, and reheat coils. Replacement and maintenance/repairs of air handling and equipment (or part of it) such as cooling/heating coils, steam coils, fans and mix air dampers.
