The project consists of installing a grit chamber bypass, replacing the secondary clarifier mechanisms, tying in a 6-inch force main to the plant's primary influent line, demolishing equipment in the area of the old headworks, and installing a dumpster driveway to the sludge belt press building. The project address is 102 Vic A Pitre Drive, Westwego, LA 70094. Contractors final questions regarding plans or specifications are to be submitted to Kevin Drane of Kyle Associates, LLC at kdrane@kyleassociates.net, by close of business Thursday, October 31, 2024. All bids must be in accordance with the contract documents on file with the City of Westwego, 1100 Fourth Street, Westwego, LA 70094. All bidders must show the Project Name and their Louisiana Contractors License Number on the outside of their bid envelope. Late bids will not be accepted. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid surety bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, and payable without condition to the owner. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract. Companies providing the bonds shall comply with the requirements of LRS-R.S. 38:2218 and R.S. 38:2219 as applicable. The City of Westwego reserves the right to reject all bids and to reject bids for just cause, pursuant to the law.
