The selected Contractor shall complete the work within 240 consecutive calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Demolish and dispose of current residential structure. Move existing shed to the back of the property. Construct a new two (2) bedroom, one (1) bath residential, single-family home. The City of Temple (City) has received a grant from the Texas Department of Housing & Community Affairs (TDHCA) Homeowner Reconstruction Assistance (HRA) Program (HOME Program) to provide homeowners with reconstruction of substandard housing owned and occupied by extremely low, very low, and low-income City households. The HOME Program will help correct problems which pose an immediate threat to the health and safety of the occupants, while providing decent, safe and sanitary housing to enhance existing older neighborhoods within the City. The HOME Program will ensure that the home meets or exceeds the current local and state property maintenance codes, as required by the level of renovation. In the event that the homeowner does not receive final approval from THDCA, the City reserves the right to immediately terminate the resulting contract, if any.
