As of December 30, 2024, the project was awarded to Birch Hill Construction Ltd, with an awarded amount of $7,789,524.50. The work takes place in the waters off the Rural Municipality of Malpeque Bay. It begins at the western end of Keirs Shore Road and proceeds west into Malpeque Bay for approximately 325 metres. Installing a tied steel sheet pile structure, underwater excavation, disposing of material, placing geotextile, geogrid, placing armour and filter stone, placing rock fill, placing Class A granular surface, installing environmental controls, and all other work necessary to complete the Contract.
