Contractor s License Classification. In accordance with the provisions of California Public Contract Code 3300, the District requires that respondents possess a valid California Class C-7 - Low Voltage Contractor's License for this project. Any respondent not so duly and properly licensed shall be subject to all penalties imposed by law. No payment shall be made for work, labor, materials or services provided under the contract for the work unless and until the Registrar of Contractors has verified to the District that the respondent awarded a contract is properly and duly licensed to perform the work. The respondent's license(s) must be active and in good standing at the time of the bid opening and must remain so throughout the term of the contract term. A cashier s check made payable to the District; (2) a certified check made payable to the District; or (3) a bidder s bond executed by a California admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, made payable to the District. The proposal security must be in an amount not less than ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00). Separate Payment and Performance Bonds. Each bond in an amount equal to 100% of the total awarded contract amount, will be required, and shall be provided to the District by the awarded contractor prior to execution of the contract. All bonds (Proposal, Performance, and Payment) must be issued by a California admitted surety as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120. Submittal of Proposals. All Bid Proposals shall be submitted on forms furnished by the District. Proposals must conform with, and be responsive to, the Request for Proposal documents, copies of which may be obtained from the District as set forth above. Only proposals submitted to the District prior to the date and time set forth above shall be considered. As a condition of submitting a Proposal for this project, and in accordance with California Public Contract Code Section 20111.5, prospective respondents are required to submit prequalification documents, which will be the basis for determining respondents that are qualified to bid on this Project.
