Project includes installation of new chemical feed equipment, demolition and removal of existing chemical feed equipment, and relocation of electrical outlets by a licensed electrician. American Iron and Steel requirements pertain to this project. Site Directions: The Project is located at the water treatment plant located at the southwest corner of Pearl Street and 5th Street. Owner anticipates that the Project's total bid price will be approximately $241,500. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security as required by Iowa Code section 26.8, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a corporate surety bond, acceptable to the Owner, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the amount of the contract. The bid security shall be made payable to Owner in an amount of five (5) percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and shall be in the form of a cashier's check or certified check drawn on a state-chartered or federally chartered bank, or a certified share draft drawn on a state chartered or federally chartered credit union, or a Bid bond (on the form included in the Bidding Documents) issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraphs 6.01 of the General Conditions. A pre-bid conference is not anticipated for this project. The Project has an expected duration of 296 calendar days to Substantial Completion (October 31, 2025) and 345 calendar days to Final Completion (December 19, 2025). Work on the Project shall commence on the date specified in the written Notice to Proceed. Notice to Proceed is anticipated by (January 8, 2025). The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and irregularities in the form of the bid, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the Owner.
