Renovation of an educational facility in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
NCS, SWS, WS & WOS Gym floor replacement project (RFP#YESP2024-32). Scope of work includes providing materials, labor, and equipment to complete the scope of work as detailed in the attachment. Liquidated Damages: Time is of the essence regarding the performance of all Work. If the Contractor fails to achieve Substantial Completion on or before the date agreed upon contract award, Contractor shall pay to the Owner, as liquidated damages, $250 per day for each calendar day that Substantial Completion is delayed thereafter. Project Overview: YES Prep is solicing compeve proposals from qualified companies to replace exisng Gym Flooring at selected campuses. Details below regarding specifics related to this project but not limited to: Temporary safe removal and storage of any gymnasium F.F.E., including bleachers, as required to complete the flooring replacement, with reinstallaon of all items once the work is finished. Removal and disposal of exisng gym flooring & underlayment, wall base and components. The exisng flooring is Mateflex II. Work Surface Preparaon, "as required by the flooring manufacturer." Contractor responsible for taking measurements onsite before any materials are ordered. Contractor shall "salvage for reuse" all threshold transions. The scope shall include new base and all threshold transions as necessary. Work must begin on June 1 st and be completed by June 31 st . Contractor to coordinate with Owner court striping with the locaon of exisng volleyball inserts and basketball goals in the field. Onsite storage cannot be offered unl June 1 st . Offsite storage should be included in bid if required. Contractor and all subcontractors shall maintain all required licenses, certifications, permits, and any other documentation necessary to perform the contract resulting from this procurement solicitation. Contractor must comply with all state and local building code requirements. YES Prep reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or waive any or all irregularities Payment and performance bonds shall be provided after the proposal/contract award in order to proceed with contract execution. Contractor must obtain and keep in effect during the term of the contract, insurance coverage in the below listed types and minimum amounts. As evidence of insurance coverage, Contractor must furnish to YES Prep Public Schools certificate(s) of insurance with its proposal. Type of Coverage Liability insurance & Workers Compensation & Employers Liability Insurance Amount of Coverage As detailed in Vendor Information Packet Any explanation desired by a prospective proposer regarding the meaning or interpretation of the project documents must be requested in writing and with sufficient time allowed (a minimum of seven (7) calendar days before the date set to receive proposals) for a response to reach prospective proposers before the submission of their proposals. Any YES Prep response will be in the form of a response to the request for information. Question cutoff time and date is 5:00 p.m. CST October 30th , 2024. Proposers are required to complete all sections provided in the ebid system at online) NCS, SWS, WS & WOS Gym floor replacement projects at the following locations: 1. North Central Secondary (13703 Aldine Westfield Rd. Houston, TX 77039) 2. Southwest Secondary (4411 Anderson Rd. Houston, Texas 77053) 3. West Secondary (10535 Harwin Dr. Houston, Texas 77036) 4. White Oak Secondary (5620 W. Tidwell Rd. Houston, Texas 77091) Contract Term: Actual work to be performed and the schedule for performance under this solicitation will be upon the terms, conditions, and timelines agreed upon by YES Prep and the selected contractor. Time is of the essence for this project. All items listed in the scope of work shall be completed no later than the date agreed upon contract award. Deadline will not be moved due to rainy days.
