This Contract provides for the construction of 12 speed humps along portions of Alabama Street, 32nd Avenue, and Michigan Street within the City of Longview, Washington 98632. The project includes installation of removal, HMA, thermoplastic warning stripes and signage, HMA, and any other incidentals necessary to complete the specified work in accordance with the Contract Plans, Contract Provisions, and Standard Specifications. The City of Longview accepts no responsibility or liability and will provide no accommodation to bidders who fail to check for addendums and submit inadequate or incorrect responses. This project is funded in part by the City of Longview Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program under a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. All work performed on this project will be subject to the higher of the Washington State or federal Davis Bacon prevailing wage rates. Cash, cashier's check, certified check and/or bid bond in an amount equal to at least 5% of the total bid price shall accompany all bids. The City of Longview in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for an award.
