Work of this Contract comprises the installation and electrical wiring / controls for backup generators at nine (9) City owned, existing well houses. The typical scope of work at each of the well sites will be to extend the existing underground conduit from the generator pad to the wellhouse panels, installation and connection of the owner furnished automatic transfer switches; furnish and installation of support and monitoring circuits, conductors and circuit breakers in the existing panel boards; and related appurtenances for each of the sites. Additional work at select sites may also include furnish and installation of new main service disconnects, removal of manual transfer switches and portable generator connections, removal and replacement of the existing motor control center, and related appurtenances. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids; or to accept or reject the whole or any part of any bid; to award schedules separately or together to contractors, or to waive any informality or technicality in any bid in the best interest of the City.
