Pierce County, through Nugget Lake County Park, is seeking Sealed Bids for a mechanical dredging project on the drawn down portion of Nugget Lake. The project will mainly consist of the removal, hauling and land application of up to 100,000 cubic yards of sediment from the upper 20-25 acres of the drawn down Nugget Lake. Other aspects of the project are detailed in the bid documents. Travis Campbell, on behalf of Pierce County, N4351 County Rd HH, Plum City, WI 54761, filed an application with this Department on 05/01/2024, under sections 30.20(2) and 30.208, Wisconsin Statutes, to dredge Nugget Lake located in the SE 1/4, SW 1/4, Sec. 32, T. 26, R. 15W, in the Village of Plum City, Pierce County Pierce County reserves the right, in its sound discretion, to accept or reject any or all proposals provided in response to the Request for Proposal regardless of conformity with the specifications, as well as to waive any errors and omissions as well as any technical failure of any proposal to be fully responsive. Such discretion shall be exercised in the best interest of Pierce County and its taxpayers. Pierce County also reserves the right to determine who, among the several submitters, constitutes the lowest, responsive and responsible party for the project in question. Price shall remain in effect for 90 days. Pierce County reserves the right to reduce its agreement with the successful party to a written contract and until such a time as said contract is executed by and between the parties, Pierce County shall not be bound to the terms of the bid in question. Pierce County is bound only upon the signing and execution of a formal written contract.
