Renovation of a fire / police facility in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
A. General Information The Fire Department operates 3 fire stations with dispatch currently located at Fire Headquarters. The department is responsible for responding to roughly 9,800 calls annually. It is anticipated that emergency communications within the Town will be centralized between both Police and Fire at a separate location. The current alerting system is an analog Zetron system which provides both altering and PA functions to all 3 stations. Additionally the Town upgraded its radio infrastructure in 2019 with a new UHF motorola system. Town buildings all are connected via a municipal fiber WAN. B. Scope of Work The West Springfield Fire Department is replacing its existing analog fire station alerting system with a PURVIS Fire Station Alerting System. The Town has already purchased the equipment listed in the material list. The awarded bidder will work with PURVIS who will be responsible for the implementation process. C. Work Included 1. Installation of all equipment across 3 locations. 2. Work in conjunction with Purvis during installation D. Permits and fees 1. Obtain all necessary permits, licenses, and certificates and pay all fees and charges associated therewith. 2. Arrange for all inspections and obtain all necessary approval for the work. Questions Due October 25, 2024 by 4:00 PM The Town of West Springfield, through its Fire Department, is seeking sealed bids from qualified contractors to install a PURVIS Fire Station Alerting System Estimated Cost $70,000. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000.
