Ball Hall Lecture Hall 214 Renovation Estimated Cost $3,800,000. Work Included: 1. Demolition and removal of selected portions of buildings and structures and as required for new work. Refer to the Drawings for additional requirements. 2. Salvage of existing items to be reused or turned over to the facility. 3. Removal and legal disposal of demolished materials off site. Except those items specifically designated to be relocated, reused, or turned over to the facility, all existing removed materials, items, trash and debris shall become property of the Contractor and shall be completely removed from the site and legally disposed of at their expense. Salvage value belongs to the Contractor. On-site sale of materials is not permitted. 4. Demolition and removal work shall properly prepare for alteration work and new construction to be provided under the Contract. 5. Scheduling and sequencing operations without interruption to utilities serving occupied areas. If interruption is required, obtain written permission from the utility company and the Owner. The Project consists of but not limited to: The Project scope includes a "gut" renovation of Lecture Hall 214 which is a 2-story room (on Floors 2-3), @5000sf with a raked floor, going from 300+ seats to @160 seats with tables. The new layout requires building out on top of the existing structure to create fewer, wider rows for the seating and tables, and the stepped aisles will increase in width to meet current Assembly egress code.
