Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a municipal facility in Hickory, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the addition of a 8,000-square-foot municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
Single-prime, lump sum bids will be taken for construction as indicated in the bidding documents. Proposals must be made on standard forms furnished by the Architect within the Project Manual. Prime Contractors wishing to submit a bid for this project must provide a MANDATORY written Letter-of-Interest to the County's authorized Design Consultant [McMillan Pazdan Smith; Mail: 1422 S. Tryon Street, Suite 700, Charlotte, NC 28203; Attention: Kay Keshav or by e-mail: Kkeshav@mcmillanpazdansmith.com] at least 72 hours in advance of the bid opening in order to be placed on the official Bidders List for automatic distribution of potential addenda and to be offered consideration by the Owner (WPCOG) as a responsive bidder. Bids submitted by Prime Contractors that have not provided a Letter-of-Interest may be considered non-responsive. Bid, Performance, and Payment & Material bonds are required for this project. The laws of North Carolina and applicable regulations of various Licensing Boards and M/W/SBE provisions will be observed in receiving bids and awarding contracts. The Contractor can obtain the Bid Documents digitally at no cost from the Countys Authorized Design Consultant: Summary Project Description: The Work includes but is not limited to a two-story expansion and renovations of existing one-story office building. Scope includes; 1. New structural steel frame and CFM perimeter wall framing of approx. 8,000 s.f. expansion with brick veneer and metal cladding. 2. New and replacement of existing HVAC Systems, electrical & plumbing systems expansion, and data & security system roughin. 3. New 2-stop traction type machineroom-less elevator. 4. Interior work is primarily steel-stud and gypsum wallboard partitions with painted finish, carpeting and resilient flooring, metal pan stairs, suspended acoustic panel ceilings, wood and metal doors in hollow-metal frames, and aluminum storefront entrance & windows. 5. Sitework including parking area expansion, new entrance, lighting, grading, exterior stairs, stormwater management and landscaping. 6.
