The City of Hickory was granted funds by the NC State Legislature through the Water Infrastructure Fund for several water & sewer projects related to economic development & system resiliency along the Hwy 321 Corridor. The City of Hickory Public Utilities Department is soliciting RFQ's from qualified consultants to provide engineering, design, permitting, bidding & construction management services for several projects. These projects are identified as: Raw Water Pump Station Emergency Generator - Design and installation of emergency backup generator for WTP raw water pump station to increase redundancy and resiliency. Town of Longview EST - Evaluation, design and installation of waterline, valves and associated appurtenances to connect a recently purchased EST to the City of Hickory water system as well as any necessary reconditioning of EST. NW Hickory Sewer System Evaluation - Evaluation of existing and future sewershed to determine the most practical and efficient method of meeting expected future demands in the NW quadrant of the City of Hickory, along the Hwy 321 Corridor. All submittals must be received by the deadline specified herein. Any submittals received after the due date and time specified will not be considered. The City of Hickory reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, or to withhold awarding a contract for any reason it may determine, and to waive or not to waive any informalities in any submittal. Contact with City Council or other influential individuals to the selection process regarding this RFQ is expressly forbidden and shall be grounds for immediate rejection from the process. All information regarding the content of the specific submittals will remain confidential until sealed proposals are opened. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
