As of December 16, 2025, this project is in the design phase. A timeline for construction has not yet been established. *Previous solicitation listed below for reference:* Request for qualifications for Sandy Pines Park "initial phase" and Miracle of Hickory Park Modification in Hickory, NC. Questions regarding the RFQ must be received via email at sabernethy@hickoyrnc.gov by 2/5/25 at 4:30 p.m. Questions may then be responded to as an amendment to this document and posted to the solicitation within an anticipated five (5) working days after questions deadline. Oral statements or instructions shall not constitute an amendment to this RFQ. The City of Hickory is soliciting statements of qualifications from qualified professional engineering firms to provide design and engineering services to facilitate the proper planning and usage of grant funds for two different park projects. This will potentially include architecture/landscape design, Geotechnical engineering services, bid and procurement compliance management, and permit determinations. Work under the contract may include, but is not limited to the following: -Design -Management of bid processes -Specifications and BID documents -Geotechnical engineering needs determination and completion -Environmental permitting needs determination and completion -All other Federal, State and Local Permitting (as needed) The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
