Generally, the project will consist of renovations and upgrades to the Cab, 3rd floor restroom and flooring, and the equipment room of the existing Air Traffic Control Tower. The Cab renovations include new cabinetry and carpet, as well as new lighting controls, tower ASOS equipment, and general tower equipment (signal light guns, temperature and wind sensors, radio equipment, etc.). Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, or by a certified check payable to City of Hickory, Hickory, North Carolina, and drawn on some bank or trust company authorized to do business in the State of North Carolina, for an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. A performance bond and a labor and material payment bond are required from the contractor awarded this contract. All Contractors are hereby notified that they shall have proper Contractor's licenses as required by the state laws governing their respective trade in the state where this Project is located.
