Reference Number 0000280363 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/11/05 03:00:00 PM EST General: For the inspection and testing of all (quantity 756) light poles and their bases on the University of Guelph campus. A detailed inspection report carrying a stamp of an Ontario certified professional engineer shall be submitted no more than four (4) weeks after execution of the work. The successful contractor is responsible for supplying any vehicles and/or equipment required to perform the work. Using the provided campus map and grid create an identification system for each light pole and affix a label to each light pole with its corresponding identification number that details the location on the grid. Tests to be carried out: Visual inspection for any damage to base plates, masts, hardware and foundations. Magnetic particle tests. Ultrasonic tests along the pole masts. Torque tests on anchor hardware. Priority shall be given to the tallest poles first: Musco poles located near sports complexes and fields. Lighting poles twenty feet, and taller, in parking lots and roadways. Lighting poles less than twenty feet in height located along walkways. The report shall contain, at a minimum, the following information: Types of tests performed. Photos and labels of poles including their locations. Findings. Suggested corrective actions. Timing of said corrective actions. Stamp by an Ontario certified professional engineer. Adequate protection of the students, faculty, and staff shall be taken into consideration. Any vehicles and large equipment used to test the equipment shall be surrounded by orange safety cones.
