This project consists of installing large meters (2-inch and larger) in multi-family locations that currently have meter boxes without meters, and installing meter assemblies, boxes, and meters in multi-family locations that currently do not have them (1-inch through 6-inch). This project also includes other incidental and related work. The Contractor will be required to utilize the Virtual Project Manager (VPM) online website for the duration of the project. The online account is free to the Contractor and must be utilized for all submittals, RFIs, pay requests, and all other project-related correspondence. The Contractor agrees to commence work within 15 calendar days after both parties have signed the contract and to complete the work within 90 calendar days. Upon submitting a bid, Contractor agrees that length of time of the contract is reasonable. The City of Lodi hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration for an award. The City of Lodi hereby notifies all bidders of the City's local hiring and apprenticeship ordinance to strongly encourage local hire and apprenticeship practices. The City requires that all bidders comply with the ordinance on projects that are estimated to exceed $200,000; and will reject bids that fail to demonstrate a good faith local hire effort. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the completion of such forms, and to award to the lowest responsible bidder The prime contractor on this project shall possess a valid State of California Class A or Class C-34 contractor's license.
