The Burnell Hall Renovation will transform the current 66,000 square foot, one-story masonry classroom building into an upgraded and accessible state of the art centralized home for the College of Education and Health Sciences with classrooms, collaborative work spaces, faculty and administration offices and other support spaces. The scope is anticipated to include, but is not limited to: a possible minor footprint expansion, masonry repairs, structural steel reinforcement, new roof, fire protection and HVAC systems, MEP upgrades and replacements, utilities work, landscape and hardscape, door, window, storefront replacement, new food service area, AV & IT upgrades, and waterproofing. Interested firms MUST submit a Qualification Statement by the deadline and be prequalified if they are interested in later bidding on the project. DCAMM Certification applies for this process. This Request for Qualifications is the first part of a two-step process for Trade Contractors. First, interested firms must submit the Qualification Statement. Then, at a later date, only prequalified firms will be invited to submit bids for the category of works in which they were prequalified. This Qualification Statement is different from DCAMM Certification. All firms must be qualified for this project, even if they are already DCAMM Certified.
