The Board of Education of School District No. 68 (Nanaimo-Ladysmith) is requesting proposals from experienced firms for the design, supply, management, and installation of two separate modular buildings (one for Wellington Secondary School and one for Chase River Elementary School). Note: proponents are welcome to bid on either Wellington Secondary School, Chase River Elementary School, or both Wellington Secondary AND Chase River Elementary School. Wellington Secondary School: One six classroom, two-story modular classroom complex (Building and Siteworks), as well as pave 20 additional parking stalls on the site of Wellington Secondary School, located at 3135 Mexicana Rd, Nanaimo, BC V9T 2W8. A re-use of design is welcomed. Chase River Elementary School One five classroom, two-story modular classroom complex (Building and Siteworks), as well as pave 20 additional parking stalls on the site of Chase River Elementary School, located at 1503 Cranberry Ave, Nanaimo BC V9R 6R7. The total project budget including design fees, permits, bonds, insurance, taxes, construction management fees, construction, commissioning, and inspections is approximately $11,000,000.00 for both or: Wellington Secondary - $6,000,000 Chase River Elementary -$5,000,000 The Ministry of Education has set a target occupancy date of September 1, 2025 for Chase River Elementary and March 30, 2026 for Wellington Secondary.
