The project begins at milepost 366.92 on US 180 and proceeds to milepost 368.93 on US 180. The project then runs along US 191 from milepost 315.55 to milepost 315.72. The proposed work includes milling and replacing AC pavement, installing new concrete sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and ADA-compliant ramps, as well as removing and replacing guardrails and relocating catch basins. The work also includes driveway and drainage improvements, signage installation pavement markings, and other related work. SCOPE OF WORK: Maintenance of Traffic: of the Standard Specifications is modified to add: Prior to construction, alterations to contract phasing, detours, and Maintenance and Protection of Traffic plans shall be reviewed by the Engineer at the preconstruction conference or a pre-activity meeting based on the contractors preliminary schedule and proposed contract phasing. (D) Project Traffic Control: The project shall be constructed in accordance with Part VI of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), 2009 Edition, with the Arizona Supplement to the 2009 MUTCD, the Arizona Department of Transportation Traffic Control Design Guidelines (TCDG), 2019 Edition. The contractor shall establish the traffic control necessary to provide a safe and efficient work zone without unduly delaying traffic. Prior to implementing traffic control activities at the project site, the contractor shall coordinate with and submit for review and approval to the Engineer, the traffic control plans including a general construction schedule of all traffic control strategies, dates and times, providing a minimum advance notice of 14 calendar days for all planned access restrictions. No work shall begin without the approval of the Traffic Control Plan by the Engineer.
