Check or bid bond shall be provided as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fourteen (14) days after Notice of Award. The successful bidder shall furnish a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price and payment bond in the amount of 50% of the contract price upon the forms provided. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Alabama to act as surety. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids and bidding deemed to be in the best interests of the Owner, and to reject non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids.
