Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Madison, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The project is located at the intersection of Balch Road and Uncle Frank Boulevard in Madison County, Alabama, and involves widening Balch Road to add turn lanes. The scope of work under this contract includes clearing and grubbing, demolition, excavation, installation of storm sewer and inlets, asphalt paving, slope paving, reconstructing guardrail, striping with pavement markers, signage, erosion and sediment control, and traffic control. For further details refer to the construction plans in Section 6.9 The Bid Form must be accompanied by a cashier's check, drawn on an Alabama bank, or a Bid Bond, executed by a surety company duly authorized and qualified to make such bonds in the State of Alabama, payable to Madison County. If a Bid Bond is provided in lieu of a cashier's check, the bond shall be on the Bid Bond form as stipulated in the Bid Documents. Refer to Appendix A for the Bid Bond form. The amount of the cashier's check or Bid Bond shall not be less than five percent (5%) of the Contractor's bid but is not required to be in an amount more than Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000). The Madison County Commission reserves the right to award this bid on an all-or-none or item by item basis, to refuse all bids, and to waive technicalities.
