Sonoma County Public Infrastructure (SPI) Integrated Waste Division is looking to enter into an agreement with construction companies to perform earthwork and other infrastructure related maintenance at its seven closed legacy landfill sites (Sites). The work will consist of maintenance on landfill cover surfaces, access roads, storm water conveyance systems, sediment ponds, erosion control, and similarly related maintenance projects. The maintenance of these Sites is both necessary for public health and safety and is required by state and local regulations and codes. Proposers will be required to submit any and all questions in writing per the schedule in order for staff to prepare written responses to all contractors. Written answers will be shared with all potential bidders through an addendum on the County's Supplier Portal and email notification. Questions should be sent via e-mail directly to Jennifer.Lyle2@Sonoma-County.org . Questions will not be accepted by phone. The living wage rate required under the County's Living Wage Ordinance (LWO) has increased. Effective January 1, 2024, the living wage rate required under the LWO shall be $18.10 per hour, an increase over the previous $17.65 per hour. The increase was adopted by the County's Board of Supervisors on December 12, 2023, in accordance with Sonoma Municipal Code section 2-377(d). All covered employees must be paid at least the increased living wage rate.
