GENERAL This specification covers the general maintenance and care of poles, fixtures, appliances and materials necessary for the continuous burning of single burner gas mantle streetlamps located in the City of Cincinnati. Questions or requests for additional information regarding this solicitation shall be directed in writing to the assigned City of Cincinnati Buyer, Shannon Brower, via email at Shannon.Brower@cincinnati-oh.gov. CONTRACT PERIOD The materials/services shall be delivered, as ordered, during the period beginning on the effective date of the Contract and ending 36 months later. SCOPE OF WORK The work to be done under this specification consists of the general maintenance of all gas mantle lamps complete, including renewals, the operation of lamps, the trimming of foliage around lamps as needed and the renumbering of posts where necessary. This contract shall also include the painting, removal, installation and straightening of the lamp posts. The work to be done shall include the replacement of lamps as well as the renewal and cleaning out of all risers. The Contractor shall be responsible for the replacement of complete lamps or parts thereof that are damaged by accident, vandalism or any other reason. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, replacement parts, and materials necessary to maintain a complete lamp unit, erected in position on top of a post, all renewals and replacement of materials, the cleaning of the glassware, and maintaining the equipment constantly in first class operating condition. Replacement parts shall be the equivalent of the manufacturer's genuine replacement parts. PRESENT INSTALLATION The present count is 1,083 and will consist of gas DMI burners equipped as specified herein. The above number of lamps shall in no way be considered a guarantee by the City that it will use the exact number of lamps set forth, nor shall the number so fixed by the limit of the number of lamps the City may have in service.
