Site work and paving for a road / highway in Omaha, Nebraska. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project will build safety improvements and multimodal improvements to better accommodate all users of the corridor. A road diet is planned to use the existing ROW to reduce the traveled-way cross-section and make room for these improvements along the corridor. The project will also identify appropriate tie-ins at both ends of the project for safe connections to existing or planned facilities. A road diet will also improve safety by slowing speeds, reducing crossing distances of pedestrians, allowing for more pedestrian crossing treatments, and improving walkability. As of October 15, 2025, this project is included in the City of Omaha's FY 2025 - FY 2030 CIP and funding is allotted for FY 2026, FY 2027, and FY 2029. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
