Bids will not be considered from firms who do not attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting. Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Maintenance Bond 100 % - Labor and Materials Bond 100 % Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal, as security for the acceptance of the contract. A Bid Bond in the Michigan standard form issued by an approved surety company may be furnished in lieu of a cashier's check. Vendors who wish to submit bid deposits in the form a cashier's check may do so by taking a photo of the cashier's check and uploading it with their bid response. The cashier's check must be made payable to the City of Livonia and should reference the bid for which it is being submitted. The photo must be of the actual check itself. The Purchasing Manager will contact firms directly to make arrangements for turning in bid deposit checks. Company checks are not acceptable. Cashier's checks must be submitted. No bidder may withdraw his proposal within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. All work must be completed within 60 days of award notice, unless extended by the City. The City reserves the right to reject or accept any or all proposals in whole or in part and waive any irregularities therein. Acceptance of any proposal does not constitute a binding agreement until a written Contract is signed by both parties.
