Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the Lump Sum Base Proposal, excluding alternates, shall accompany each bid. The surety issuing the Bid Bond shall be, on the bid deadline, an admitted surety insurer (as defined in the California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120). The successful bidder will be required to have the following California contractor's license at the time of the bid opening: "B" - General Building. Project is renovation of the UC Davis Health Ambulatory Care Center on the basement level to accommodate the installation of new GE CT scanner equipment in room 0611. Work under this contract includes but is not limited to: 1. Removal of existing scanner equipment. 2. Removal of existing RF shield wall system and flooring. 3. Removal of existing walls, ceilings, doors, casework and floor finishes. 4. Ground Floor: Above ceiling access for equipment support and plumbing installation. 5. Modification to Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, I.T., and Electrical systems to accommodate the new work. 6. Installation of new CT Scanner Equipment. 7. Installation of new casework. 8. Installation of new walls, doors, ceilings, and finishes. Existing CT equipment removal and new CT equipment installation will be performed on weekends. The Contractor is to provide all required manpower including electricians to support this work.
