Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Spring, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a 560,000-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a 185-acre educational facility.
Work Included 1. The "Project" of which the "Work" of this Contract is a part, is titled Spring High School Replacement, for Spring ISD and is composed of and new high school facility and related site work located in Spring, Texas. 2. The "Work" of this Contract is titled Spring High School Replacement, Package 1, and is defined in the Contract Documents to include, but not necessarily to be limited to: a. Clearing, grubbing, building pad and related site work, including all general construction work. 3. Related Work: a. Documents affecting work of this Section include, but are not necessarily limited to, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, and Sections in Division 01 of these Specifications. b. The work of other contracts is described in various contract documents prepared therefore, some of which are in the possession of the Owner and are available for inspection by interested parties. The new Spring High School will house approximately 3,500 students and be approximately 560,000 SF consisting of classrooms, administration, parking, site work, and associated facilities to support. The 185-acre site is located at a green field site located near Hardy Toll Road, and Riley Fuzzel Road. The Project shall include an auditorium, natatorium, and a new Spring High School 9th Grade Center. BID PACKAGE: The scope of work includes but is not limited to CSI Division 31 site clearing, demolition, grubbing, grading, detention pond excavation, select-fill placement at building pad, perimeter fencing, storm drainage, SWPPP, paving stabilization, and site utilities. (Work in the package consists of but not limited to site clearing, selective clearing, demolition, perimeter fencing, SWPPP, earthwork, stabilization of paving sub grade, gravel roads, site storm sewer, site water service, site sanitary, concrete drainage structures, and pilot channels.) CM NOTE: Note 1: The Geotechnical Report will be issued at a later date. Note 2: The Perimeter Fence is not as detailed in the drawings. The Owner wants the fence shown on the Photo in the Link with Purple line posts 50 feet OC. The site entrance gates will be lockable galvanized swing gates (noted in link) that will be replaced with permanent gates in package 2. Cost to be broken down as follows: Main Building Pad and Site $ Ag Building Pad and Related Site $ The overall cost of project is $196,000,000. Cost of this bid package is not yet known. All proposals shall remain valid for a minimum period of sixty (60) days unless noted otherwise and will be evaluated based on the best value for Spring ISD and the project schedule. The Owner and Construction Manager reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any formalities and irregularities in the proposal process and to make the awards in the best interest of Spring ISD.
